Ray Hollowell

A native of Camden, N.C., Ray and his family have lived in the Outer Banks area for over 18 years. Previously, he was a commercial office building developer with over 800,000 square feet of development in Charlotte, N.C.

His many real estate accomplishments include:

• Commercial buildings in the high profile South Park area of Charlotte,
• The beautiful waterfront commercial and residential condominiums in Historic Manteo,
• The gorgeous Tranquil House Inn, and
• Waterfront Marina

His residential building success started with the organization of Renaissance Construction Company, which today is one of the premier custom home building companies on the Outer Banks. In 1997, Ray's development company, Shallowbay Bay, was chosen to design and build the Windswept Ridge Condominiums, a 90-unit development having a value of over $27 million, along with the premier golf clubhouse and restaurant at the Currituck Club near Corolla, N.C. In 1999, he successfully acquired the remaining undeveloped properties and wastewater treatment plant of Kinnakeet Shores Resort in Avon, N.C.

His mission for Kinnakeet Shores Resort is to complete the original community design incorporation and protection of the natural beauty and essence of the existing environment, while developing the beach club, lakes, sound, and Maritime Forest amenities for all property owners and guests.
