A native of Long Island, NY Rick migrated south to the Hampton Roads, Virginia upon his graduation from the SUNY Maritime college in 1972 with a BE in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Prior to joining Kinnakeet Shores Resort, Rick was a successful corporate executive and consultant with a major U.S. defense industry firm.

Rick and his wife Pat, of 32 years first came to KSR in the fall of 2002 as investors looking for an alternative to the ups and downs of the turbulent stock market. After examining the Outer Banks real estate

market they selected KSR and purchased one of its premier vacation homes. They have recently made another investment in the purchase of a sound front lot, which they share with their sons Tim and Patrick.

Just as Rick sought an alternative investment strategy to the stock market he has also sought an alternative lifestyle to his former hectic corporate life and has decided to join us here at KSR. As KSR's only resident agent let Rick put his personal experiences and his 32 years of customer service to work for you.

Kelly Gibbs

Although not raised on Hatteras Island, Kelly calls this place home.  Raised in a little town just across the Pamlico Sound, she has been coming through here her whole life.  Kelly has been a part of the Kinnakeet Shores Team since September of 2004.  She currently holds the positions of Administrative Manager of the Kinnakeet Shores Recreation Association and Outerbanks Kinnakeet, Inc. Development Company. She is the Property Coordinator for events held at Kinnakeet Shores and also has a North Carolina Broker's License.

Kelly is the proud mother of a beautiful daughter named Nicola and a Yellow Lab puppy named Sadie.  They reside in Buxton.  Kelly is a seasoned traveler having lived in Texas, Florida, and Japan, but finds Hatteras Island to be a place she enjoys calling home.
